Hi my name is Barry Bromley, welcome to my webpage.

I am concentrating my collection mainly on WWI and British military firearms ranging from 1850 to the Second World War. Consequently I am always looking to buy or sell items to widen my personal collection.

You will notice that I have only written about certain, specific firearms and concentrate quite a lot on serial numbers. Personally, I find these very important as often the serial number in combination with the retailer’s name, any inscription, regimental markings, inspector’s marks and proof marks are the only way to verify a model and discover the story behind an old gun ie where it had been or whom it was used by. I have tried, with my own collection, to follow up these leads whenever possible often with some very interesting results. I have not included write-ups on all the major firearms or manufacturers as this has been covered in many books and publications by people far more qualified than me.

I am always happy to exchange information or help fellow collectors if I can. The website is regularly updated.
